The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Tourism announced Sept. 13 that this year the International Tourism Festival will set up branch exhibition sites in several places, such as the Olympic Boulevard, Xidan Cultural Square and Blue Harbor International Business District, showing Beijing's tourism resources and providing advisory services.

The main venue for the 12th International Tourism Festival in 2010 will be located on Qianmen Street. Zhang Huiguang, director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Tourism, said that nearly 2,000 entertainers from 22 countries and regions and 23 performing troupes, including the Brenda Gordon School of Dance from Scotland and the Legend Dance Company from Mexico, will parade and perform to celebrate the opening of the International Tourism Festival.

At that time, the Xidan Cultural Square, central part of the Olympic Boulevard, Blue Harbor, Silk Market and Hongqiao Market will set up branch sites for the International Tourism Festival, where the 23 troupes will give performances in turn. In the first three branch sites, exhibition booths will also be established to provide consumer rights protection services and tourism services to residents of Beijing and to display the tourism resources of Beijing's 16 districts and counties as well as recommend the tourism products of 18 A-class tourist agencies.

Meanwhile, 20 top old and classic cars of the world will be displayed in the scenic road of the Olympic Zone for tourists to visit. The cars on display come from various countries and are representatives of the key vehicle models in different periods of automotive history. The oldest was manufactured about 90 years ago.
