Application


Please read carefully the general admission requirements for international students, fill out the application forms, submit official transcripts from your high school /college/university. The transcripts must be official and in your native language. All documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English. All undergraduate and graduate programs are taught in Chinese at CUMT so far. Therefore, the applicants whose native language is not Chinese should meet the a satisfactory score on Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK, Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi ) according to the programs you are applying for.

1. Undergraduate Admission Requirements

To be admitted to an undergraduate program, the prospective applicants should have a high school diploma or the equivalent. You should successfully pass the HSK Level 4 or above.

2. Graduate Admission Requirements

The applicants who intend to apply for graduate programs should have bachelor degree or above. You should submit curriculum vitae, personal statement, letters of recommendation (two for master’s program, three for Ph D program). Applying for master’s program, You should successfully pass the HSK Level 5 or above, for Ph D program, you should successfully pass the HSK Level 6 or above.

3. Non-degree Program Admission Requirements

The requirements for Chinese Language Programs or 1) preparatory Chinese language or 2) short term Chinese language program vary and flexible. The applicants submit an application form and related materials according to checklist.

Applicants who are interested in General Advanced Program, Senior Advanced Program should contact us for special requirements.

4. Transfer Students Admission Requirements

CUMT accepts international transfer students from a college/university from China or your home country. Please consult us for more information.

5. Application Deadlines

Deadline for degree program is June 1; for Non-degree program is July 1/ December 5. All eligible international students who are willing to study at CUMT should send application form and supporting materials to International College. The application form can be downloaded from the website (http://sac.cumt.edu.cn/). Please note that you use the same spelling of your name as appears on your passport, as it is used to issue your JW 202 Form for visa application.
