The 3rd Alumni Week

     The 3rdalumni week of Northwestern Polytechnic University（NPU）as a holiday for all NPU people started in October. More than one thousand alumni returned to their Alma Mater-NPU, celebrating this special moment, re-experiencing the days they had spent here and reviewing the development in NPU.

     

     A grand alumni fellowship evening full of cozy and sweet atmosphere was held at Ao Xiang Student Center on Chang’an Campus on the evening of October 17. The alumni and the faculties and students of NPU co-performed a wonderful feast of arts in various forms, such as dancing, singing, reciting, story-telling and so on. Besides, a publishing ceremony on The Stories of NPU (II) was also held in this evening, which mainly narrates 27 stories about 28 brilliant alumni who have had great achievements, including the leading figures in the field of defence-related science and technology such as Aeronautics, Astronautics, Marine Science and Technology, the business elites, the scientists for academic research, the young talents for the basic innovations and so on.

      

     On behalf of the whole faculties and students, Wang Jinsong, the president of NPU extended his warmest welcome for the alumni, highly speaking of their patriotic ambition and the purest sincerity to NPU. He also emphasized that NPU would always be their spiritual home, strong support, comfortable harbor and the second hometown.

     

    It is estimated that around 1010 alumni from about 77 classes returned in the 3rdalumni week this year and up to now, more than 1760 alumni have come back since September this year.
