Czech Governor Mr.Michal Hasek at SZU

On the afternoon of April 26th, a delegation of 17 members led by Governor of south Moravia and The Czech National Governors Association, Mr. MICHAL HASEK paid a visit to SZU. SZU Vice President Li Fengliang and relevant superintendents of SZU International Office, Office of Academic Affairs and School of International Exchange attended the meeting in International Conference Hall. The visit was accompanied by a group of provincial and municipal government senior officials. 

 

VP Li extended his welcome to the guests from Czech and made an introduction about the development of SZU. According to VP Li,Shenzhen University is among  China’s top 10 most beautiful universities as well as one of the most rapid growing Chinese universities. SZU grows with the same pace as Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and it has become a comprehensive university with a full range of disciplines. For over the 33 years, SZU has nurtured thousands of excellent talents and made great contribution to the city’s social and economic development.

 

Meanwhile, SZU attaches great importance to international cooperation. SZU has established contacts with 163 universities around the world, and strives to realize the goal of “Two Thousand Talents” Program, which means sending 1000 SZU students to international universities while receiving 1000 international students to SZU at the same time each year. According to VP Li, The internationalization of higher education will better promote the overall strength of SZU so that International First-Class University Campaign can undertake a rapid advancement. During the meeting, VP Li expressed his wish to cooperate with universities in Czech.

 

Mr. MICHAL HASEK expressed his gratitude towards the warm reception of SZU, and he appreciated the achievements that SZU strives to make as a young university. He expected to cooperate with universities throughout China in terms of science and technology innovation in order to seek common development, and he also expressed his willingness to serve as the bridge of communication between SZU and universities in Czech.
